Sterling, Va. — Backed by four individual championship swims, the Riverside High School girls swim team claimed the Dulles District championship on January 27 in Sterling. The Rams boys used a team effort to outlast Loudoun County High School to complete the boys-girls sweep of the district titles. Riverside sophomore Mikaela Haast won the 100-yard backstroke, junior Claire Nguyen won the 500-yard freestyle and sophomore Allison Kopac won both the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events as the swam past Woodgrove, 457-394.
