Virginia Beach, Va. — Over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, the APEX Gymnastics Level 8 and 9 teams traveled to Virginia Beach to compete in the Virginia State Gymnastics Championships. APEX was led by newly crowned state champions Lauren Porter – on floor – and Lauren Greene – on beam. APEX placed seventh in the Level 9 team competition, which featured teams from the entire state of Virginia. The top gymnasts from the Virginia State Gymnastics Championships – including twelve APEX gymnasts* – earned berths to the Region 7 Gymnastics Championships in April.
