Sterling, Va. — Potomac Falls High School senior Emily Jencks is quite the athlete. The 5-foot-4 dual-sport student-athlete has recently made a commitment to Division III Bridgewater College, where she will play both field hockey and lacrosse. “I will be able to play both field hockey and lacrosse, which was super important to me,” Jencks said. Landover, Md. — Three local gymnasts have earned berths to the USA Gymnastics Level 9 Eastern Championships after placing in the top seven in the all-around at the Region 7 Championship on April 12-15 in Landover, Maryland. APEX Gymnastics gymnasts Caroline Cascadden, Hannah O’Dea and Lauren Miller placed second, sixth and seventh, respectfully, in the Region 7 all-around competition. Cascadden, Miller and O’Dea will now represent APEX at the Eastern Championships on May 5-7 in Rochester, New York.
