Purcellville, Va. — Woodgrove High School senior River Stone led the Wolverines to a win in a five-team meet over Loudoun County, Loudoun Valley, Park View and Riverside High Schools to open their season on December 6 in Purcellville. Stone turned in the top all-around score with a 37.175 while winning the beam (9.600) and placing second in bars (9.100) and vault (9.400). South Riding, Va. — Freedom High School sophomore Riley Waldrop and freshmen Liliana Gines and Kelly Fangyen led the Eagles to a win in a five-team meet over Broad Run, Heritage, John Champe and Rock Ridge to open their season on December 5 in South Riding. Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes who positively affect high school sports in Loudoun County, Power Train and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Freedom High School sophomore Haley Adams as the Power Train and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month for November 2018. Portland, Or. — When the Loudoun Valley High School boys cross country team scored 89 points at the Nike Cross Nationals in 2017, the running world took notice. Only four boys teams had ever scored less than 100 points at the event, and no boys team had ever broken 90.
