Leesburg, Va. — Riverside High School freshman Marisa Cisneros led the Rams to a win in a five-team meet over Heritage, Loudoun County, Loudoun Valley and Tuscarora High Schools on December 18 in Leesburg. Cisneros turned in the top all-around score with a 37.325 while sweeping the individual events. Cisneros scored a 9.800 on the vault, a 9.025 on bars, a 9.400 on the beam and a 9.100 in the floor exercise. Sterling, Va. — Woodgrove High School senior River Stone led the Wolverines to a win in a five-team meet over Broad Run, Heritage, Loudoun County and Potomac Falls High Schools on December 13 in Sterling. Leesburg, Va. — Coming off of a tough loss to Freedom High School on December 7, the Tuscarora High School girls basketball team was ready to get back into Potomac District play against Stone Bridge High School on December 11. Lynchburg, Va. — Less than a decade since the school first opened its door, the Woodgrove High School football team has made history. On December 8, the Wolverines took down Lake Taylor High School, 38-33, to win the program’s first ever VHSL 4A State title in football. “It was a great game.
