Sterling, Va. — The Independence High School boys and Briar Woods High School girls claimed their respective titles at the LCPS Championships held on December 18 at Claude Moore Recreation Center in Sterling. Hyattsville, Md. — Three APEX gymnasts earned all-around honors at the Washington DC Challenge on December 19 in Hyattsville, Maryland. Level 3 gymnast Vinay Chivukula won the pommel horse (9.300), rings (9.400), vault (9.300), parallel bars (9.300), and high bar (9.400) to claim the all-around (56.200).
