(October 9, 2015) – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes in Loudoun County who exemplify the values classmates, coaches, spectators, officials, families and friends look for in teammates, the LoCoSports team has selected its September 2015 Teammates of the Month for cross country, football and volleyball. The selections were made based on the following criteria: selflessness, hustle, work ethic, attitude, team-first mentality, spirit and heart. Hokies85 went 8-0 in week six, beat all of the local experts and will take home a gift certificate for a free meal at ResQ Grille! TomTy from Leesburg and Woodgrove Baseball from Round Hill are now tied for the lead in the season-long Pick’Ems competition with records of 47-12. Loudoun Valley High School senior Drew Hunter (15:26) cruised to a victory at the Loudoun County Public Schools Championship on September 30 in Purcellville helping the Viking boys to a first place team finish.
