Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes who positively affect high school sports in Loudoun County, Power Train and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Riverside High School sophomore Amelie Fieser as the Power Train and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month for September 2017. Purcellville, Va. – Loudoun County High School freshman Matthew Monastero (74) won a playoff against Woodgrove High School junior Alex Price to claim the 2017 VHSL Region 4C golf championship on September 28 in Purcellville. Monastero – along with his brother Ryan, Dominion senior Kelvin Shen and Loudoun Valley senior Ryan Hammer – will represent Loudoun at the VHSL 4A state championship tournament on October 9-10 in Abingdon. Aldie, Va. – After coming off of a blowout win against James Madison High School, the Stone Bridge High School football team showed no signs of wear in their most recent contest. The Bulldogs rolled over John Champe High School, 59-28, on September 22 in Aldie, controlling the game from the first kickoff to the final whistle.
