Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes who positively affect high school sports in Loudoun County, Power Train and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Freedom High School sophomore Haley Adams as the Power Train and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month for November 2018.
In November, Adams helped the Eagles to a 4-1 mark including a big five-set win over Stone Bridge in the VHSL Region 5C championship on November 7. The Eagles went on to sweep Massaponax in a VHSL 5A State quarterfinal before falling to North Stafford in a state semi.
“While her stats are awesome, it is her personality and perseverance that make her an incredible teammate,” Freedom head coach Heather Malam said. “She constantly wants to get better – but as a unit.”
[adrotate banner=”6″]While she’s not helping the Eagles on the court, Adams is finding ways to build team chemistry off of it.
“She is supportive of her teammates,” Malam said. “She’s the first person to be a shoulder to cry on or ear to vent to and a hostess for team events.”
The Power Train and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month is selected from nominations based on student-athletes having a great team-first mentality, hustle, work ethic, attitude and heart.
All athletes and teammates of the month are invited to Power Train for a free month of training.
