Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes who positively affect high school sports in Loudoun County, Power Train and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Rock Ridge High School junior Sadie Thompson as the Power Train and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month for March 2018.
“Sadie is constantly putting her teammates before herself on a daily basis, whether it is making sure her teammates are mentally prepared for games or making sure they have everything they need for practice,” Rock Ridge head coach Jenny Davis said. “She is constantly working hard to make sure that her team is successful by thinking about the big picture and what little things she can do to make the team meet its goals.”
[adrotate banner=”6″]Thompson’s team-first mentality has the Phoenix off to a 6-2 start on the season, including a 1-0 start in the Potomac District.
“She always asks her coaches how she can guide her teammates and improving as a unit rather than individuals,” Davis said. “She is always positive no matter what adversity she is facing and leads by example on a daily basis.”
The Power Train and LoCoSports Teammate of the Month is selected from nominations based on student-athletes having a great team-first mentality, hustle, work ethic, attitude and heart.
All athletes and teammates of the month are invited to Power Train for a free month of training.
