Loudoun County, Va. – In an effort to better recognize student-athletes who positively affect high school sports in Loudoun County, Power Train and LoCoSports have teamed up to announce Loudoun Valley High School senior Jalen Williams as the Power Train and LoCoSports Athlete of the Month for January 2018.
Williams – who has helped the Vikings to a 21-1 record this winter – had quite a night on January 26 in an 87-56 win over Dulles District rival Loudoun County.
Williams connected on his first seven three-point attempts and shot 10-for-11 from beyond the arc setting the Vikings’ record for most three-pointers in a single game. His shooting performance also pushed him into the all-time lead in career three-pointers made. Additionally, his 32 points in the win elevated him to 1,025 career points, making Williams the eighth player in Loudoun Valley history to reach the 1,000-point milestone.
