Ashburn (Feb. 4, 2015) – Like they have done all season the Freedom High School varsity gymnastics team proved they were the team to beat in Loudoun County as the Eagles won the Conference 14 gymnastics meet at Stone Bridge High School on Feb. 3.
Freedom – and the Potomac Falls High School Lady Panthers who placed second – earned bids to the VHSL 5A North region tournament at Mt. Vernon High School on Feb. 9.

Freedom’s phenom freshman Sydney Wrighte continues to make a name for herself as she won the Conference 14 all-around title including first place finishes on the bars, beam and vault. The floor – the only event Wrighte placed second in – was won by fellow Eagle junior Anna Broussard.
Tuscarora High School sophomore Claire Pettit, Potomac Falls freshman Morgan Marrocco, Wrighte and Broussard will all represent Loudoun County at the all-around at the VHSL 5A North region meet.
In the vault, Freedom sophomore Cara Fragala, Tuscarora sophomore Julia Thoppil, Tuscarora freshman Jadyn West, Stone Bridge sophomore Kallie Starr and Briar Woods juniors Becca Hang and Loren Barber all earned VHSL 5A North region berths.
In the uneven bars, Potomac Falls sophomore Jordan Smith, Potomac Falls juniors Mela Coffey and Alyssa Del Prete, Tuscarora sophomore Julia Thoppil and Stone Bridge sophomore Kaitlin Starr all earned VHSL 5A North region berths.
In the beam, Potomac Falls sophomore Jordan Smith and Potomac Falls juniors Mela Coffey and Alyssa Del Prete all earned VHSL 5A North region berths.
In the floor, Freedom sophomore Cara Fragala, Briar Woods junior Becca Hang, Freedom junior Sydney Stotka and Stone Bridge freshman Peyton Rositano all earned VHSL 5A North region berths.
